I regard this as butchering the game.
not stupid pass-offs that people do cause they're not satisfied with a good game

if you don't like voogru's server JUST DON'T PLAY THERE
some people probably think NS is butchering HLDM, so you know what they do? they play HLDM
yes, voogru's server (only one I know that has the mod) lets you:
1) get HP form armoury
2) NVGs if you have observatoory
3) aliens can put Rez into a comon pot so that toheres can get em
Dont like something in the mod? tough, let the team deal with it.
It's like saying "hey, nice car...let's add 2 more wheels, another ashtray..some fuzzy dice.." without asking.
It's stupid, and I for one am against it.

..and you lose resource points when you die. Real fun.
then other aliens can look at the hive and hold the use key to get Rez out of it (great for gorges)
as for the NVG, they look like crqap and don't do anything

You look at the hive; or another team member; and type giveres #. Easy. If you want to take resources from hive; just press the use key.
Really cool feature, especially on a PUBLIC server w/tons of n00b gorges.
As for the NVG. It looks exactly like NVG in real life. Call it crap; but it's very close to real.

Which it isn't. Voogru has taken a great game and unbalanced it. Some people find it fun. I guess all is fair since all these mods are free.
If you want to play the original better version of the game a warning to you all, DO NOT PLAY ON VOOGRU servers.

A random of 1/4th to 1/6th of your resources are sent to the hive whe nyou die, if your a gorg all but 33 are sent to the hive. you can always get them back out of the hive but it does that so other players can make use of the resources (since your dead) Also if your a gorg with 100 resources, then fall and die, 67 resources which would have been lost are put into the hive for team mates to take.
This was put in so i could counter the effect of NVG and Armory's giving out HP, i needed to give aliens something cool.
Ever since i started logging team wins,
The marines have won 230 rounds, and the aliens have won 212 rounds. Before resource sharing it was marines 10 aliens 2.

All is not cool. I am not a tool nor have I ever been.
But I did talk **obscenity** about the server because it sucks, HARD.
What is irritating is that I never said anything about you yet YOU attacked me. You're the one being the tool for some server you apparently don't care for anyway, if my memory serves. (You mentioned something about not carrying to play there because of the NVG, perhaps I am wrong)
You and black hawk both, who had zero constructive thoughts on my post and rather leaped forth with talons out as if I had personally attacked you. Who cares what I think. It doesn't matter. If you care that much though about what I think then you or he/she can privately email me or ICQ or AIM me or YahooIM me orwhatever you like.

If they want to run the servers that's fine.
But if I want to NOT like them that should be fine to.
One, I have an opinion of the servers they run and since it is not in favor of them, random people take it upon themselves to tell me how "pick an obsene word" I am.
As long as there are people posting about how they like voogru I plan and telling them how much I dislike it.
I would never tell someone how dumb they are for liking it.
However, if someone attacks me personally because I made fun of their server or a server they play on, I'm going to rip them a new **obscenity** as they have done to me. End of story.
They want to talk about the server and how great it is, fine. I can accept that. I just want people to accept my opinion too.

I'll make the same arguement about Half-Life. If the HL team wanted a mod like NS; they would have included it.

Actually, I'm not really much in mood to be polite to most of you here. NO one here has decided to treat us politely.
I'll never flame you; or call you name.
However! The ideas that were implimented altered Flayra's ideas for NS. There wasn't going to be any Night Vision because the idea was for the areas to be dark so aliens get an oppertunity to hide in the dark areas and spook the marines. Ask me what my best moments are and they'll involve dark corridoors and a skulk. (Heras Maintenance corridoor in particular) Adding Night Vision removes this part of NS that is what makes it good. I know you need an observatory and everything but it still changes the style of NS.
The Medpack/Armoury thingy is alright in theory but it also changes/replaces the commanders roll in NS. Instead of having to get a commander to decide wheather the marine deserves that shiny medpack. However instead of this we have commanders with the need to build one of these in every room. That also makes it harder for the aliens to attack back. (Yes I know about the 2 hp per use etc)
I admire the work you guys have done I just wish you'd looked into the philosophy of NS first.
