thank you for the post! if you have any other pubber thoughts please write them down and leave them on the ground over there.
pubbies beware
Is this a joke!?!? Hahaha , give me a break.
edit: Plus I think it leads to more interesting map design as the maps do not have to be symmetrical.
Generally random is bad, or rather, close positions are. (For competitive play)
trolololo
You have done a fantastic job supporting your ideas!

But this is more of an issue mappers must address to make sure their maps remain somewhat balanced wherever you spawn. It just means teams have to adjust what they will do depending on their and their enemies spawn locations, which Is a point I brought up earlier in the thread. At the end of the day, the team that is more skilled and well rounded to use different methods of attack are the ones that will win in the end.
And please, Pubby? I played competative NS for some of the top Australian clans, at a stage possibly the best clan in the country at the time.
and this is something that never happens in any game because mappers are bad, developers are bad and players are bad
I mean, we still have ztn in quake 1 with awful spawns. The most symmetric TF2 maps have to be played in 'halves' with teams swapping sides because imbalances are never addressed. Starcraft has symmetric maps in a desparate attempt to solve balance problems, and that just shows tremendous imbalances between the various units/abilities.
Look at how many patch notes there are for server room and warehouse on Tram. Think of how many hours have gone into trying to polish that turd instead of fixing more important and fun parts of the game. AAAAH!
Just spamming the thread, because OP is so friendly.
Bye :)
I want to see the OP's "competitive" experience. In full detail.
Random spawns forces teams to come up with different strategies. Thats what makes competitive teams and competitive gameplay so unique, not just follow a set pattern in the tech tree everytime.
Great, EVEN more pubbies posting in french. lol
hello and thank you for your interest! here is a screenshot of one of the rare times i deigned to play on a pub and the exploits i had to use just to make absolutely sure the scrubs knew who they were messing with .
for further reading i would suggest making yourself familiar with this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Past_NS_Competition_Winners. god bless your sweet pubbie head.
Lastly, op, remember this game isn't for you. It's for all of us. Unless you want to spend $3000 for a copy of ns2 you shoul
d get used to us.
Typos from my phone. Not worth fixing.
