Why would you need zoom when aliens are dancing at an armslength around you?
Heh, yea, And anyhow, rifle lacks the accuracy to have zoom help anyhow. Maybe for the pistol...
I have no idea why we don't have this. It's ridiculous that the LMG should be more effective in CQC than the shotgun.
But yeah, it would also be cool if an accurate shotgun blast can burst a Bombard ball in mid-air.
Because the marines should focus on ranged combat and not on melee. This is aliens job.
The marines should be vulnerable in close range and not a threat for the skulk in melee.
But this will get more obvious when hit reg is fixed.
The zoom could make a smaller fire cone, so the marine gets stronger on long range.
While he gets weaker in melee without the rifle butt.
It's damage ratio is to surreal, given the game world concepts. A knock from a rifle butt should send a skulk flying, not dieing. A gorg slime itself, stop a fade from using blink for .5 secs and absolutley nothing to onos and the hive and structures.
Its not a "flamer" or a "minigun".
1 blast on the skulk and 1 swing with the axe/knife and its done.
Maybe the design would look 2much alike Gears Of Wars weapons xD
