Motion Detection Disalbing Feature ?

Yesterday I played on a server and when I asked the commander to upgrade for motion detection, he replied that it was disabled on the server. The observatory was up.
So aliens could detect us but we couldn't do the same.
If motion detection has to stay as a an option to be disabled at will, then the aliens should loose theire motion tracking too if marines can't have it.
I mean what's the point of disabling motion detection for marines if aliens keep theire's <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->?? That's kind of dumb don't you think ?

as for actualy:
it probably was not disabled, however there is currently a known bug on LINUX servers so that MT jsut don't work (so blows)
so add to your filter (if you play marines) windows only
or if you are aliens, linux only ;D
Auctually your limited to the scripting engine, you cant add something like... armory's giving out HP or improved alien resource sharing.
AdminMOD is great, but thier community is a little... well you know.
u can only see ur teamates and if ur structures and teamates are being attacked anything else of the opposite team needs to be parasited to be seen unless u av a sensory chamber therefore u can av scent of fear `n stuff like that...
voogru, hmm, I recently learned a very small bit about bots (basicaly that you have that dll that sits between HL and the mod picking out the functions it wants to controll)
is that sorta how your mod works? (I know you are alowed only one mod per server, and seeing how as you can't alter the NS code, I sorta guessed thats how you did it)

all of those stories about them handing out stuff like water are over exagerations
if it reasly was the case
NO ONE WOLD PALY ON HIS SERVER
and guess what, it is full nearly 24/7
if you don't like it, don't play (there is a reason you will never see me on his server, I can't stand the beep that the armoury does as it gives HP)
look, voogru has a server, it is his rules, if you don't like em, don't play there, there are many other options
I personaly would like to beable to talk to him about stuff with out tools flaming him (I am a curious CS major, I wana know how it all works ;D)
Their servers are wanky and altered.
And they DO hand **obscenity** out cause I've seen it personally. As a matter of fact that is the only server I've ever seen admin abuse happen on.
On top of the fact that the game itself has been altered to basically put in a "modified" alien resource bug and changed the armory. What BS.
EDIT: Oh yeah, one game aliens had all 3 hives and every marine was dead but an admin, and he gave himself a jetpack. Oh my god, abuse!
EDIT 2: A mod locking this post would save us all a lot of this guys blabbing.
And there is no option to disable motion tracking. It is a bug.
