This has been mentioned a lot already in other threads. The amount of slowdown you are experiencing is a bug. There is a slight slowdown on spit that has been in the game for many patches now, and no one has noticed it and complained. However with this recent patch when some movement code issues were fixed it had the inadvertent effect of making the gorge spit slowdown much more severe, and affected other areas of the game pertaining to movement, such as the Lerk flight, which also became too slow.

We didn't catch all the issues in time before releasing the patch, but we are fixing these up for the next one.

As a bug for a basic gorge, this is extremely annoying...but man it should totally be an upgrade for gorges. Maybe tied to 3rd hive or something. Remove it's rapid fire and I think a sticky spit would be a great mid/late game thing for gorges.

    Something to think about anyway.

I think the idea is a good one. Right now gorges are strong when they're receiving support from their team. However if they're caught alone, they typically just jump around and spam heal spray. Being able to kite a marine with spit seems much more skill based and sensible.
