<div class="IPBDescription">Well, of NS2, obviously, this is the NS2 Modding section</div>So, one day I was bored and the idea certainly crossed my mind a few thousand times, that since I had done the NS1 translation... why not doing the same with NS2... and that's how this thread was born.

This is not really a community project, like the German one, since I have done the whole translation myself already, but I'm open to suggestions.

The file should go in: "steam\steamapps\common\Natural Selection 2\ns2\gamestrings". Then, choose "Spanish" from the options menu.

    Change the encoding from ASCII to UTF-8 and they will show up correctly.

    I will preemptively say that we know the font currently used to render the alien banners does not include diacritics necessary for rendering many characters in other languages. It's just a placeholder font and we'll be replacing it after PAX.

    Voy a pegarle un empujoncito a este thread.

    Los que esteis registrados en la pagina de traducciones, si os podeis bajar el archivo (ahora hay una opcion para ello) y decirme que cosas os suenan mal para mejorarlas y eso, me seria de gran ayuda.

    Creo que hay partes en las que traduzco estructuras en masculino y femenino (el whip en un sitio y las whips en otro o cosas asi), todavia no tengo claro que es lo mejor, asi que si entre todos podemos tomar una decision, creo que seria lo mejor.

    No he puesto ni una tilde en el post, pero... ya sabeis, nos entendemos yo creo :P

    No se si la gente que esta traduciendo cosas lee este thread, pero... en serio, traducir "Mine description" o "Axe description"? Esta claro que lo tienen que cambiar, como lo de "Undecided Rifle Upgrade", que de hecho no creo que se vaya a usar en el juego de momento.

    Uhm...una cosita, he estado viendo algunas traduciones y hay algo que yo no veo muy "bien","claro" o no se como decirlo.

    Por ejemplo la siguiente frase -> ("Commander has been ejected") se traduce como El Commander ha sido expulsado. ¿Commander? Yo lo veo mas como Comandante, como lo esta en algunos sitios, pero no se si como yo lo veo esta bien, o de lo contrario quereis dejarlo de la otra forma.

    Por ahora solo eso, que era una duda que me ha surgido

    Si te lees las "guidelines", todos los terminos que se puedan usar para comunicacion (digamos, vitales para el juego) se dejan en ingles, y Commander es uno de ellos. Y como eso Armory (que tambien tiene traduccion sencilla), Infantry Portal, Prototype Lab, etc.
