<div class="IPBDescription">> 5 people on 1 team</div> Ok I have heard and played on teams where there are more than 5 players on a single team. Yes this is a hard game but I must say it makes you work really hard as a team.
My biggest complaint with this "Feature" is the fact that when a team starts to loose everyone will bail to the RR. I have been on both sides of this fence as most of you have, and wondered why in the world is everyone leaving. Just to make the game go faster, IMHO, thats just lame. I have been in a game, pre 1.03, that lasted about 4 hours, and went back and forth, aliens kicking butt, to marines kicking but, both teams being way uneven for a bit and then getting even again. That, I must say was probabily the best match I have ever played. Granted we were all wiped out afterwards and went and collapsed, but none the less it was an awesome game and would not have been the same with the more than 5 player limit.
Maybe I'm all off the wall but seems to me this takes away from some of the fun of the game.
I agree that the team balance needs to be fixed but that should be the ability of AdminMod. I mean coding it into the game is a good attempt but why not make it where neither team can have more than like 2 players. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

so every team can only have 2 players on their side so its gona b a 2v2 on a 4v4 server or something...
I'm using RR earlier and earlier... even as marines develop their skills they still seem to prefer buggering about to actually finishing off the hive.

You know that is not what I meant. No more than 2 player difference on either team, that would eliminate the greater than 5 players the other team wins. I have been in a game where a clan left, and as the aliens we had 2 hives and were taking out there base and we lost the game. Now is that fair, NO, in fact its a pain in the *ss.
I do not see the "go to the ready room when your team has no chance of winning" action as being a problem. NS is very RTS based and typically in RTS games you do not get to march in and wipe them off the map. Look at it like Chess, have you EVER actually TAKEN a king? No, does that make it lame? Not at all. Why should I stand around and let you kill me when I have already realised that we have lost. Also, as was posted before, who wants to respawn to an alien base to be killed by marines that won't kill the hive -or- a marine base that has only an infantry portal?
And I'm sure we all have been on the team were we keep them alive for the fun of it, but at the same time we usually will end it pretty quick. My complaint is as in example of an entire clan leaving, and were winning and when they leave we lose by default, thats just lame. And maybe something can be done about that. It goes back to the team balance issues. I know there trying to make it fair but making an auto win with more than 5 people isn't cool either.
This is how it should be done, please do not hit F4 if you see that your team is even remotely losing. It is VERY frustrating for the other players on the team and it ruins the game for them. I know of servers who will kick people who do this, so please do not do it, for the benefit of everyone. If you really can't wait, please don't play, your only making it unfun for everyone else.

So what do you do when your team is determined to kill those camping HMG/HA marines? Sit there and just respawn.. die.. respawn.. die..? I'd rather just yell at people to F4, and if they don't, then I'd just leave the server..
But in some cases, it's impossible to win even when they're not at your hive. Trying to take back Auxillary Command(near Port Engine on ns_nancy) when it has a lot of turrets, a few sieges.. and there's THREE turret factories, two of which are upgraded.. along with a phase gate. Then there was a similiar set-up at the "Mother" aka noname hive. So what do you do then? Be "good sports" and just sit and wait for the marines to make the final push? No thanks.. I'd rather just F4 and restart and get a new game, where both sides have a chance at winning.
