i think they can't...
OKay i dunno which map (doh, forgot to look) but it's the one with the hives called the great viaduct or the powersilo. okay above the Great Viaduct, is a platform, or catwalk or whatever it's called. for some defences, i would be a skulk/lerk, climb/fly up to the catwalk, go on it, and elvove to gorge. Now the catwalk has BIG guardrails that you ca;nt jump over as gorge, so to get off you gotta be skulk or lerk again. now , as gorge on the catwalk, build an OC. Now build an OC on top of the one you just built. make sure it does;nt fall of to the gorund, the guardrail might give you some help. Now make more and more! now you make DC (duh) and blah blah blah...... Now JUST ONE QUESTION!!!:
CAN SEIGE ATTACK THESE Stuff ON TOP OF CATWALK??? it does seem pretty far, the catwalk. I'm not sure if seige can attack from ground. if it can't WOOHOOO ya got defence that's hard to destroy! hmg with jetpack might be problem but at least you got defence chambers and stuff... and some alien players....
Can ANYONE confirm that siege can or cannot attack buildings on the catwalk abover with Great Viaduct???

no, that's the european config.
THe HL code uses the Z axis for vertical.
x and y make up forward/backwards and left/right
z is height.

Unless I'm mistaken, pretty much all FPS-style games use the Z-axis for vertical.
X/Y refers to 'height' and 'width' as it would appear from high above the map itself and looking down. Z refers to the height if looking straight in from any side of the map.
But, I can confirm from a game last night as alien that Siege on the catwalk can hit the hive

Yep, they can fire in ANY direction, even straight up. It's quite the pain in the arse.

3D graphical libraries uses X axis for left and right, Y axis for up and down, Z axis for near and far.
In OpenGL, positive Y means up and negative Y means down.

hehe, k. There was a guy at my old CS server who had the same avatar as you, and I'm guessing it's not to common to have an Abu avatar
