<div class="IPBDescription">Translattion done by 95%, just 4 you UWE</div>I was waiting for a free slot at the HBZ Server, than i went on to read some lua files, that was pretty interesting for me as a Hobby programmer.
Than i found the gamestring files in the sub directory, i know my english isn't as good as it shoud be, but i think my work in that file can help you a tiny tinzy bit.
So i rewrite that file, over the last three hours, there are certainly some typos in, but i think for the first version it is okay ;)
I made some Comments for things that are unclear or sh!tty in german, better a good english word as a worst german word like "Hive - Bienenstock" or "Upgrade - Verbesserung" there are some english words that must be keept to understand that game better as a german, just my two cent.
You find my Commands that i made with the searchfilter: "// S:"
aswell, thank you for that awsome game, keep it going UWE!
greets Syli

Interesting that german makes such extensive use of loan words for things in videogames, I've noticed people do it when speaking too.
edit: fix some typos, because my keyboard is broken and writes sometimes a dobble stroke "like likkke"
but i cant upload it, will look at it tomorrow again!
There already is a german translation existing. Look <a href="http://www.unknownworlds.com/ns2/forums/index.php?showtopic=114296" target="_blank">here</a>. Also quite a bit of discussion about different words was going on.
However: Good work!
@Syli Good work, but yeah... quite a few spelling errors.
"perfeckkt" :X

yeha thats my broken keyboard, sometimes it make double chars, dont know why, eventually drivers, change that in some time
I will check out the other translation too, thx
Was reading your translation and it is no finished and has alot of faults (nervengas d.e. With v not f).
Also mature is translated erwachsen and not verbessert (improved). Also some words like hive (nest) you don't wan't to translate but things like shift or shade are translate. It's not easy to find well sounding translations sometimes, so the orgiginal word should be kept (most alienstructures and aliennames)
I'm just saying ;)
ö,ä and üs are not in the game i guess?
You could replace with oe, ae and ue.
And there a lot of other mistakes:
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->AMMO_PACK = "Munitions Packet"
MED_PACK = "Erste-Hilfe Packet" // S: Ger->Eng: First-Aid pack, no short word for medical in germany
CAT_PACK = "Katalysator Packet"<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Packet realy?
Its paket ^^
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->SENTRY_TURRET = "Selbstschussanlage"<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
its nice you try it but this sounds wrong because it would be in english like "spring gun" not sentry gun.
I know its hard to translate but i guess its good to leave the most buildings "sentry turret" or maybe add behind it like "bla bla" (Sentry Gun).
Because if a german play online and a american or whatever said "sentry gun" he may can not understand (yes there people outside who can't speak english...very rare but yeah.)
keep up the good work.
They are, but the file with the translated texts must be encoded as UTF-8 to make them work.
The original deDE.txt file is encoded as ASCII, so if you edit that and don't change the encoding, non-ASCII chars (ö, ü, ø, š, ...) won't be displayed correctly in the game.

Reminded me of this somehow :D
