and the facehugger can climb walls and so, but the gorge have big feets and he is fat.

i thnk the facehugger is better for the skulk.
that will work.

so plz shot down the idea for a facehugger as a gorge.

The real problem is that unless someone can animate decently we have to stick with something that will fit the gorge animations. Now I <i>might</i> be able to get a face hugger to look ok but it would be a big pain in the **obscenity**. Can someone send me the facehugger model and I can see what I can do.

The thing is that having an alien be fat just doesn't look right in any of the concept sketches I've done. Hopefully I can jerry-rig the facehugger to look good.

Originally when I was going to do the model for the gorge, I was going to make it a "Hiveling" which would essentially just be a regular alien body (a little fatter to fit the gorge's hitboxes) with a smaller alien queen head.

Also, Facehuggers are a bad idea to replace the gorge. My points are below:

x. Facehuggers are supposed to be incredibly quick. The gorge is the slowest unit in the game.
x. It's be impossible to fit the facehugger in the gorge's hitboxes without completeing distorting it.
x. Facehuggers would have to be completely re-animated.

An alternate alien that I always thought would suit the Gorge is the small bug from Starship Troopers. They are the ones who carry the Brain Bug in the film.

I think I have a design that will work, it will take quite a bit of modelling and prolly take me a while but its solid and will fit everything. Someone e-mail me the queen model from avp2 and I can begin splicing models and skinning and all sorts of unholy rituals. REPEAT SOMEONE SEND ME THE QUEEN ALIEN MODEL FROM AVP2 I will work tirelessly until the pack is complete.(Except for the fact that I will still sleep late, hey you can't expect me to stop being lazy now can you?)
