Eyefinity support?

Will NS2 get Eyefinity support somewhere along the line?

I tried running in eyefinity with 6036*1080 (with baffle correction) but the FOV is too close (seems to be like 30 degrees per monitor). It seems like it's hardcoded to adjust to the resolution ratio.

Also the font is very blurry. And the HUD should be in the center screen only if possible.

Screenshots from NS2 in eyefinity.

Agreed; some sort of upgrade for nonstandard aspect ratios would be appreciated, along with a HUD location-tweak tool. Even just a 'middlemost X by X' would be enough for most people, and is missing from even most current 'compatible' games for some reason, annoyingly.

At the moment the FOV is being used as a balancing/immersion measure. Would make sense to base it on vertical FOV instead of horizontal, as a quick and dirty workaround, if custom aspect ratio handling is off the table. It's one thing to keep people from setting 180FOV and getting a squashed view onscreen for 'pro' play, to be harder to surprise. It's another entirely to not want to just get a tiny vertical viewing slice when you're already running at 48:9 (5760x1080) or higher, putting yourself at a *dis*advantage currently. You pay the entry fee, you expect a little more awesome for the time and money you put in. Not to be crippled.

    Max?

(PS- Would be more publicity to be listed on the Eyefinity-compatible chart.. somewhat lacking a good FPS title, as currently most are racing games.)

I believe this issue was seen ages ago with the FOV. There's a screenshot on the NS2 FB page which was when it was first highlighted.

It is an issue that is brought up then dies away.

No more "because it is a competitive game" excuse. Battlefield 3 supports it out of the box with a Grade A on Widescreen Forums.

Implying Battlefield 3 was designed to be competitive, or that it's at all the direction we want to move in.
