I tell you, whenever we hit it, build 200 Is going to be AWESOME.
I always saw the Onos as an elephant/rhino cross, focusing on using its snout, horn, and mouth to attack... this thing looks like it's going to gore you with it's front hand-things!
Maybe this was always the plan and I had no idea D:
I think we're lacking a smart_bomb to be able to pull that one off!

I second this. Aliens already win 80% of games.
Yes I admit I don't like one sided battles, jetpacker at least will make it more fun for the marine team
This.
This always bothered my, his front upper legs look like they are the wrong way around, the leg scissors to the back thus the biceps should be on the backside of the leg.
and its not his triceps thats showing, a triceps doesnt bulge like that, or at least, not as much as the biceps, yet from the picture and proportions the backside of the leg looks smaller then the frontside muscle, which means the muscle in the front is the biceps in this pic.
And yes, i know aliens might not have muscles called biceps and triceps but the way joints and muscles work still is the same as they are organic like us.
I like the stomp stunning buildings too. That should be fun and make for some good tactics on both sides. Shaking lights would be awesome too. I remember the shaking (and falling) lights in the April fools Gorge trailer. I thought it was just manually animated, but if stuff like that can be handled by the engine, that's great.
Just you wait, within the next few days people will be making threads to try and nerf it…
the thing is if you look at it's front feet you will see that it walks on it's knuckles.lol

Yes, the Onos in NS2 is based on a gorilla, rather then the bull/rhino look of the NS1 Onos. This was decided largely to give him more maneuverability in turning around in tight hallways, which was always a problem with the NS1 Onos.

Funny, I was talking about it with my friend and that was the guess we came to, just before I saw this post
The Onos model is fine IMO it has some insect touches like the grabby things next to the mouth and those front legs have claws.
The teeth could look a little fiercer though, and the chest armour looks artificial, too much like man made armour rather than something that is part of the Onos's anatomy.
Hope we will get some turning animations for it.
