<div class="IPBDescription">2.5x the FPS</div>While trying to fix my flickering issue (itermittant fault - see my topic on front screen of forums), I have found that running windowed mode actually INCREASES FPS, I go from about 45 > 120 (max settings) (single gpu)

I think that has been found before. But it really depends on the computer. For me it runs slightly slower... but well, its worth a try! what gpu do you have? and what operating system?
Yeah I have tried this before and it doesn't work. Just tried it again after reading this post and I actually get lower FPS, but at least it's a good trick for some PCs apparently.

For the FPS in NS2 the only really relevant component is the CPU, and it doesn't look as brilliantly as it needs to be to sustain 100+ FPS at all times. That is to say there doesn't really exists such a CPU (we'd be talking about sandybridges that must go in excess of 6GHz). I not be buying this!

I'm close to a 100 most of the time, but it can drop to about 60ish in large battles with lots of stuff going on. 60FPS is fine for any FPS. Esp considering my monitors are 60Hz

Though scaling is not where Dual SLI scaling is, its is usefull. This way I can SLI 2 cards and output to one screen, and have the other card output to 2 other monitors. This allows high frame rates on a single screen utalising SLI while still have 3 screens.
The problem with nVidia surround is that if you run anything at a res of 1680/1050 the other two screen would shut off in surround, this way I can still SLI and have access to the other screens while palying anything single monitor.

I think you might want to look up a few posts!
Get better fans like SilenX (18dB 154m3/h). Reduces noise alot when using 10! Fans.
Window Mode doesn't change for me. 40-180 Fps depending of LOS and ents.
Really? Do people not actually read everything on my 1st post?

Its not the fans that make noise, its the air pressure moving through the radiators (they are both 60mm thick)
