Lerk Attack

<div class="IPBDescription">Reminiscing</div>The new spores and gas trail is pretty cool on Lerk, but the old Lerk in NS1 was so much cooler with Bite, Spore, Umbra and Primal Screen. I think at the least the new Lerks need bite as a main attack, especially now since they have to get up all close and personal with their gas. Would be cool to do a gas trail, and then a cheeky bite while flying passed marines. Am I the only one who misses bite? :(

    Give the lerk a horn, and allow it's use to be in conjunction with flying/swooping, and dependent on your speed you cause damage to any rines you hit.

    I call it a "Lerkacorn".

    I think lerks should be able to disarm marines. It would require good aim and the disarm ability would take all their energy. That would be freaking sweet man. Maybe have that instead of fart gas/umbra.

    It has been buffed in 185!

    Funny for the Lerk yeah but not for the Marine.

    The Lerk with bite was good in NS1 but in NS2 you would stuck on the rines atm when you fly in them to bite.

    I added a melee attack for the lerk in my mod which, besides dealing damage, disorients the marine. If you miss the marine you are quite exposed to fire, but if you hit, it's really powerful. the damage is not as high as the skulk melee and energy costs are also quite high. but the benefits outweigh the negatives, here a small video of it in action:

    That sting addon is pretty epic. Would get so frustrating :P but it looks really nice. So how whats exactly happening in the vid? Is the lerk running in to the marine? Or flying by and 'stinging'?

    The Lerk oozing spores/bacteria into the spikes on the sides of its face, but not shooting them,turning them into a kind of poison lance/stab attack.

    that anywhere close?
