Alt Pistol Fire Mode Indicator

Sometimes in the heat of battle I forget whether I switched my Pistol to Alt-Fire to snipe a cyst and get caught out the next time I draw my Pistol, thinking that it is in the default Primary-Fire mode.
It would be handy that when you switch the Pistol from Primary to Alt-Fire that the blue led lights on the Pistol model turn to say red? Or maybe have a slightly different looking reticle?

Yes, please some indicator. Directly on the Weapon would be the coolest solution i think.
Good suggestion. But maybe the switching delay is there for reason. I mean that they added the delay while switching to avoid such instant use of both modes. Also from a logical aspect it would make no sense if the marine just pulls on trigger on the pistol for different modes. Hmm I'am not sure what the better way would be.
+1 Left mouse button for normal mode and right mouse button for alt fire fits with how the GL has no switching delay. Originally the pistol laser was going to indicate that it was in alt-fire mode but i say the laser should be on for both modes and optionally toggleable to some mouse-button/key.
Would also like the same on each weapon showing the current weapon tech. Each weapon can have it's own cool little feature, maybe an extra attachment like a muzzle, different grip, or simply some sort of light on it whose color determines weapon tech.
Also wtf is up with this +1 shenanigans... Stop spamming that shizzle man -> Postcount +1
I'm also not a fan of current NS2 delay system (weapon switch, gorge structure placement, start/stop sprint or weld). It makes the game feel much more sluggish than it needs to be.
I would like to see like a 1 foot long laser beam coming from the pistol when the alt-mode is activated
that's actually pretty easy to do and a cool idea. I was thinking at first about a different crosshair, combined with that the crosshair could be a simple red dot (or whatever color the laser beam is)
+1, I like that idea

Or maybe they are going to go with a light on the side of the model (there's already a spot for such a thing on the current model)
