A weird bug that needs fixing, quick!

So, I'm in the NS2 beta tournament, but when we went to play the scrimmage A little earlier today, I was surprised to find I could not join my invite, so I went into the server browsing list, and, that's it. nothing there at all!

    Sorry if I sound offensive but this question has been answered atleast 20times the last 3 weeks. The easiest way to fix it is: Close your eyes point with your finger on the Screen and click on the link you are pointing.

    If that didn't help tipe "empty serverlist" in that little box on the top right of this frame that contains "Search..."

    If that didn't help, try to run a local server (go into NS2 click on create and the create the game) and open the serverlist ingame then. Wait a minute it won't always work in 2 seconds.

    Ha, I don't blame you for acting like that, But anyway, I read all those threads, and I can't type in "no servers" because of the 4 letter thing, but I can't open ports because for some reason my password changed back on me after I changed it. Running a local server did NOT work, tried for about a few minutes.

    So here I am.

    EDIT: firewall has no problems, forgot to say that.

    exiting out of steam and reopening it seemed to resolve it for me, dunno if itll work for u, but u can try.

    Sometimes, when I load NS2 from shortcut, before Steam finishes loading, I, too get a blank list.

    It's most likely to be caused by a Steam authentication error.

    You might have to wait a while for it to work, so start it when you can let it sit for a while.

    Did you really read my post?

    Start NS2 create a game ( there is a Lan option) while ingame press esc go to join and wait a minute. The servers should appear then.

    I have no other proposition for fixes as I get this bug every now and then and creating a local server usually fixes it.

    In the mean time if you want to play you can connect to the servers directly, with this workaround:
    1- Go to: <a href="http://www.play4dead.com/ns2/" target="_blank">http://www.play4dead.com/ns2/</a>
    2- Click on the link ## servers/## players online. You'll get a list of populated servers, not all and not refreshed, still it should enable you to get their IP adresses.
    3- Launch the game and type connect followed by the IP address of the server you want to join.

    So, I tried just about everything in all the threads and all the links, but I still can't find ANY servers. when I type in "connect (ip here)" I get the "could not connect to server" thing. I click join on the link above, and it says, "server is not responding". I have NS2 opend up on my firewall, The only thing I can't do witch is probably causing the problem, is the ports not opened up.
