Is there a way to auto reconnect?

<div class="IPBDescription">joining a full server can be tough</div>Hey guys,
I just wanted to ask if there is a way to auto-reconnect to a specific server. Here in germany we have basically 2 servers which are usually full and I am not dedicated enough to wait until there is a free slot and then click join manually - so how do I do set up a auto join?
I hope there is a way...

Nice to know this! Ty
But the time between auto-tries is quite long. It's easily enough time for someone else to snag an open spot before your client sees there is a spot. The most annoying thing that happened to me was that I had the auto-join thing checked, but NS2 open and manually refreshed the list to see an opening and joined. Then about 20 minutes later when the game ended, the steam client finally saw there was a spot to join and auto-kicked me out of the server I was connected to so that it could re-join the same server. After it finally started NS2 up and joined, my spot was taken. Needless to say, I don't use the auto-join function any longer.
HLSW is your friend. I haven't tried it with NS2, but usually you can keep the game open (on the main-menu), and set HLSW to auto-connect. You'll be connecting to the server within a second of a slot opening.
I dont have any friends :/
I think autojoin is a feature that needs to be implemented in the future. It cant be hard to do it, its probably just a few lines of code.
Right now I cant really play NS2 because the 2 german servers (with the good ping) are always full and I am just not patient enough to sit there for 15 minutes until there is a free spot (and then I still might be slower than the other guys waiting to join and all was for nothing).
So right now it comes down to - as sad as it sounds - I cant play because there is no autojoin :(
ALSO, what would be an alternative but what has not been seen yet but what would be totally awesome (new idea!!) would be a server-join queue in which you could get if you want to join a server. As soon as there is a free spot you get to join. you could see how long the queue is (if there are more people waiting than just you) and it would be a fair system. Right now its more luck (if you have a faster connection, better reflexes or whatever) but i think the one who klicked "join" first should get to play first. But that is just a nice utopian phantasy of mine....
Unfortunately NS2 does not seem to be supported: <a href="http://beta-strimo.hlsw.org/hlsw/supported_games/" target="_blank">http://beta-strimo.hlsw.org/hlsw/supported_games/</a>
Works fine for me. I have the game open and then use shift+tab to bring up my friends list and set autojoin from there.
The ping in NS isn't as important as in some other games where you are aiming for certain bodyparts. When you feel like you're not hitting things in NS2 it's more because of the jerky animation transitions than the ms. Well, that or you're trying to hit a fade :P
You could try the anagram servers. They're quite stable and I get around 150ms on them from Europe, which is barely noticable imo.
Right, NS2 isn't offical support but it uses the Steam protocol at port 27016 and HLSW does support that. I use HLSW for NS2 for looking for some of my fav servers before launching the game. Unfortunately, you can't connect via HLSW because it tries to connect to the server on Port 27016, too which isn't possible. So you can't use the auto-connect feature :( . If anyone knows how i could tell HLSW to use an other port for connecting please tell me! Currently I use a modified Windows shortcut linked to Steam to instant connect to a specific server.
I made a screenshot to proof that HLSW is working for NS2 but just on port 27016:
