<div class="IPBDescription">realy needed!</div>It would be very good for the NS community to give them a working collada exporter for the free version of 3DS Max, called GMAX
<a href="http://www.turbosquid.com/gmax" target="_blank">http://www.turbosquid.com/gmax</a>

There is already a SMD importer/exporter to import/export Half-Life 1 models.
But thats not important, it would be very nice for the free-modding-community if you give them a collada exporter for Gmax.
Like you did with 3ds max and ColladaMax.dle (or is it not made by you?)
I guess its a lot of work :(
Maybe someone of the community know how i export collada with gmax?

Is GMAX even updated anymore? I thought they were not longer supporting?

    No updates:
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->As of October 16, 2005 AutoDesk Media and Entertainment has discontinued and no longer supports Gmax<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
But turbosquid still "support" it if you would say that ^^
I mean you can get it always for free on turbosquid.

I like it, because its free and like 1:1 to 3Ds Max, except it doesn't support any other export formats then the own ps3 or something.
The formats are with plugins for example quake 3 models md3 and smd.
And it has no render, but its not needed, for exporting ^^
it would be very good for the community i guess.
Sure there is a free trial of 3ds max...but you know.

I try blender but it has a horrible weird interface in my opinion.
Also it could not export collada right, its always invisible.
Only google sketchup works with collada export right now.

I shall take a look at the blender issue and see whats going on there... as for GMAX I can take a look but I do not know if it would be worth it.
