Bit of a useless topic - does anyone know the link for the marines vs aliens pie chart? Just want to see how the overall stats are going compared to ingame experience

They're putting the beacon into game with the next patch(or should say putting it back), so that will help marines in some ways. Tho as to the overall balance of the game, the beacon will more than likely be balanced out by the shade, so marines will still be left a little on the weak side when compared to aliens.
A base rifle that is better, so a free rifle marine is on par with a free skulk is necessary. Whether this will be accomplished in its entirety by better FPS is to be seen.

Will the HMG be a weapon that can be equipped by a normal marine like it was in NS1? I thought I had heard the HMG was going to be attached to the heavy armor suits.

The situation with 183 is, some times marines have problems to come out of the base, most times, the aliens wait if the marines are out of the base and rush it, it happend yesterday like 10 times, was fun. How could that happend? Rage quiter and some...new people i guess. But its "not clever" to say its unbalanced, of course it is, its a B E T A!

I know personally, that playing a fade in NS1 heavily, when a Marine with an HMG is seen, I approach the situation much differently. Now, if Marines had Weapons 3 with an HMG, a small group of 3 Marines (that know how to shoot of course) are able to push out of Marine start very easily in most situations.
Of course, I still think that Fades should (and hopefully will) take damage during the use of Blink.
