Out of sheer principle I wouldn't accept a free copy of this game as I believe the purchase is more than just NS2 but also to thank the company for providing years of entertainment with NS1 (A completely FREE mod).

No pirating the game would be essentially taking money out of their hands. Buying a key and giving it away to some random is not. Either way the devs got money from that key regardless of who bought it and who ended up with it.

Being able to map isn't a special skill, it doesn't entitle you to free stuff.
Not that I'm against giving people free stuff, it's just that there are loads of people I know who really deserve free stuff, so I'm far more inclined to give it to them.
I also don't really like people trying to pretend like they aren't begging when that is clearly what they are doing, if you're going to be a parasite, at least have the decency to recognise it and be honest about it.
Actually I'm more inclined to be charitable if someone just straight up asks me. I don't appreciate deception or trying to weasel your way out of stuff.
Of course I still wouldn't spend however much NS2 costs on someone for no reason, not when I could spend that much on someone who I know deserves a present, but it is the principle of the thing. If I had a key and nobody else to give it to/nothing else to do with it, sure why not. But not if you try to make out like it's a civic service to give you some game you want.

Certainly not me. I was criticising your (and Thal's) attitude. Such hostility, sarcasm and contempt. It was a bit sad really; at least as sad him begging for a free key. You know what we do if we see a beggar or a hobo on the street? We don't kick them or spit at them. We do the civil thing. We ignore them.
This is nothing like seeing a beggar on the street. For a start someone has a roof over their head, electricity, a computer and a broadband connection.
If what I said is what you call hostility, I think you've been mollycoddled or have never had a disagreement in your life where brash words have been used, considering I've barely said all that much.
Hang on a second while I give you $40 for free Harimau, just because you're on an e-forum and asked for it. As that's what you're saying, anyone with $40, just hand it over. I really can't be bothered to say anything more on this, as you're just fuelling flames for no reason, you're just being a devil's advocate, a right old troll, and not a very good one at that.

Spare SE's. I will offer them for 49.
