Hello guys!

I'm using two zeon processor with 4 core each in my server, and when hosting ns2 it only uses 1 core out of 8.

Do any one else have this issue? Because the server start cpu lagging when its over 10 people because 1 core has been maxed out. :/

There is no mulitcore support yet. They really need to fix this because I have the same issue. :(

    You did mean dedicated, right?

I'm Pretty sure that "two zeon processor with 4 core each in my server" would verify a dedicated server. :)

We all have this same issue, My dedi server only uses a single core but my client is using two.

However with the Q6600 I can hold 10 clients with minimal performance loss, it seems when i get 12 or more clients the tick-rate starts to depreciate.

Pretty sure he wrote "detective" instead of dedicated, that's what the person was addressing.

If it only uses 1 core at the moment, would that mean a shared VPS currently would be okay?

I've been told hosting a gaming server off a VPS isn't the best idea, with sharing the server with others, especially that NS2 is in beta with memory leaks, etc.
Still I'd love to get some feed back on anyone who is hosting a VPS server for NS2?
