I have windows seven and it's pretty legit. I can run it on high with no problems. No lag at all.

    *facepalm*
Specs are specifications. This was anything but specific. Please try again.
Also, software does not have varying levels of legitimacy. It's either a legitimate copy, or it isn't.

Can you try verifying the game cache in steam? Right click on the game and go to properties and then in the local files tab.

Do you have the latest graphics drivers installed?

Also, if you can post your log (C:\Users\Brian\AppData\Roaming\Natural Selection 2\log.txt) if the game crashes again that would help too.

I have the latest drives for my computers updated (I mean i have them updated to the current version) And i cannot find how to verify games added to steam by activation key.

EDIT: The game does not crash. It freezes. So no logs D:

Right click on Natural Selection 2 in the steam games library list

    Properties

At the top where it says local files, click it

Second tab from the bottom of the window "Verify integrity of game cache..."

    There should be 4 tabs.

    General, updates, local files, dlc

You've yet to list your system specs. What are they?

    CPU
    Graphics Card
    Ram

What detail settings are you running the game on? What resolution? The more information the better.
  • MurphyIdiotMurphyIdiot NS2 programmer Join Date: 2008-04-17 Member: 64095Members, Super Administrators, NS2 Developer, Subnautica Developer, Pistachionauts, Future Perfect Developer
And it will still help if you can post that log if it freezes or crashes again.

    Geforce 6200? Isn't that a 256Mb 400Mhz card from almost about 2+ years ago?

I'm not sure, but if it is it could be running out of video memory. And currently NS2 doesn't like it when that happens and will CTD

We are coming up on the Geforce 6200's 7th anniversary.

You are likely running out of video memory. That log would still help. It should be located at:
    C:\Users\Brian\AppData\Roaming\Natural Selection 2\log.txt

(replace "Brian" with whatever your user name is)

Same here XD. Also laughed at "pretty legit"

Also, could you post your dxdiag? Doubt it will help, but anything might help.

What resolution do you run it in (not quality)?
Is it windowed or fullscreen? Does toggling it fix your issue?
What other processes do you run?
Have you modded the lua in any way or something?

    Lower your resolution
Set your graphics setting to "Ridiculously Awful" (In NS2 Options)
