Weapon upgrade

Hay I finally bought the game and started playing, and say the lack in upgrades.
But since this is just the beta it does make sense why.

Now I think this might of been brought up or perhaps lucky not.
1. when you go into the armory, you find straight away see a big dialog box, of information on the weapon.
How about removing for the initial step.

2. When you scroll over a weapon, lets say the assault rifle; a set of selection boxes with alternative versions of the weapon then pop's down or across.

3. after you then pick your weapon, then there's a buy weapon or weaponry box, and then doing that you'll quip the weapon.

4. after buying your selected weapon, you need to wait about 5 seconds before buying the same weapon, this prevents over using points accidentally.<img src="http://i1204.photobucket.com/albums/bb415/whiteclouds28/1.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

    Hahaha. Good effort.

Actually a decent idea. Well done.

There are upgrades, but its the comm, not the players, that research them. Though, I wouldn't mind weapon specific upgrades that players could also research. It allows players to better differentiate themselves (i.e. one guy has all the shotgun upgrades, another the grenade launcher upgrades, etc.)

Unrelated. This is in an interface idea.

Well, maybe related in that he obviously wants more variety.

yeah. Like lets face it, that would rock, perhaps even have it that when commander researches Shotguns either 1. all varients are avaliable straight away. or 2. Varients are then researched individually (you click to research shot guns and then it opens to another selectable research, what tpye of shotgun you want researched.).

But the idea is that when the commander researches shotguns, your now able to buy shotguns but it's up to you what type of varient it is.
It could even be that one of the shotguns will cost slightly more because it is more strong.
