<div class="IPBDescription">(remove testmaps)</div>So ppl get a feeling whats balanced, and whats not.
Most feedback(community) you(UWE) get is from rockdown, and as you stated - rockdown and junction are only testmaps...
There cant be proper community feedback, if all we play is testmaps(9 out of 10 servers are playing rockdown only. in EU there is only 1 tram - and that not even 24/7)...
i'd rather lag around a bit more (or risk that some player will have to wait a few more patches), than listening to more QQ comments based on rockdown experience.
Too many opinions and viewpoints are already fu**ed up because of that.
We know you listen to us, but i want to make sure you listen to the right stuff... and not only the loudest.

Its just like that:
They released a beta.
Ppl that preorder can play it.
- they have to mix balance and performance optimization. (Thats what they already do - they got a mixed team...)
I agree they are too small, well Junction is too small. But Rockdown still manages to do a pretty good job at showing gameplay of a 5T+7RT map, even with the lack of content for balance issues currently. I've had plenty of rounds on Rockdown and even with the current marine spawn bug it is very playable... It has a few nice outflanking vents and corridors as well. Of course I like bigger maps like Tram way more, I find it too small :P Heck there is a reason why my NS1 map is I think the third largest maps...
Rockdown is more so playable then Junction, because that one looks more like a weird tiny remnant of NS1 Combat...
It is more of a lack of educated in the NS ways players then a problem with Rockdown. Sure a bad team on both end will give a wrong impression, but a game should not be balanced around bad teams. The lack of guidance and whining Betty not doing her job to inform players of what should be done first doesn't help either :D

You cant really get a feeling for icehockey, if you play with roller-blades on the streets..., nor can you give real feedback.
Talk to the Hand.
true story
right now flamer is op, but will it still be op when the onos stomp gets here? i think not. devs shouldn't even be considering balance advice from the forums right now.

If you would prefer a more verbose answer, if your rationale for removing the only playable map is that you don't like people complaining about things, what exactly do you imagine will happen if you remove the only playable map?
Seconded. UWE should take all balance suggestions right now with a grain of salt, but there is still value in making them on the bugged and feature incomplete beta. For example, ft alien vision reducing effect is still likely to be op (and not fun) in Build 159+, so why not fix it now? It'll help us test other features currently obscured by the op-ness of the effect.
But in all fairness I think someone should create a test map that is balanced with current classes? Small prop-light maps aren't that hard to create after all.
When I try to play tram I get a crash to desktop within the first minute of joining the server. Every time.
