It looks up to me too. You can find out if a website is down for you or for everyone by visiting downforeveryoneorjustme.com.
Sorry you're having trouble buying NS2, hopefully whatever's wrong will work out.

Do us a favor and try to Ping the site. The IP should be 65.39.205.54. If its not, you need to try flushing your DNS: ipconfig /flushdns If the IP is still wrong, change your DNS to something good like 4.2.2.2 or use OpenDNS.
If any of what I just said is too complicated, Google it.

Hi, just followed your tips.
Packages received 4 - taken 0 (100% loss)
and then i typed ipconfig and cmd crashed.
tried 4-5 more times but same thing. It crashed.
I took a print screen of the 0.4 second long flash of the cmd window that pops up and i saw just a bunch of numbers:

If you are typing Ping or IPconfig in the Run command window, then the window will close immediately when its done. You need to open the command window (type cmd in the Run window) and work from there. Welcome to the basics of troubleshooting.
Anyway, the problem is with your computer, your ISP, or your DNS.

You type cmd, then in the console window that pops up you type ipconfig.
I recommend that you switch to OpenDNS, I did after they ignored my request for them to fix the DNS link on tigsource.com (which always returned a failed to connect error for me).
Not had any problems since, I also think they have an malicious site warning - so it protects you from that.
