Thanks for the update Max, most of us know that your doing great and that the gaming 'betas' that the public has come accustom to from other game companies like EA aren't really betas. Keep up the good work; I'm also happy to see that things are being fixed at an awesome pace. Keep it up ^^
Seeing lag issues identified , the game should reach a playable state soon. Most of the frustration came from lag happening with no discernible cause , a player's closest guess being "bad netcode". Before there was no indication that you were fruitlessly trying to connect to a server or being dropped from it , now there's "connection problems" at least , still rather vague.
Even if all major bugs are sorted , please remember to add some more control over the NS2 client , to disconnect as soon as problems happen. Currently , there is no choice but to kill the application in many cases.
Great update. It's always nice to get a solid breakdown of what's going on behind the scenes.
Also, here's another player who would be interested in donating. It seems there's sufficient interest in the community for us to slide some extra change your way. At the very least it would be nice to hear from one of the devs about how you are, or aren't approaching this.

i very liked the talk about "behind the scenes fixing problems"; gives to us an overview of what are you doing/done in these days (besides twitter and the pivotal tracker) without complaining about it! (well, it worked for me. :p ) if possibile and not time consuming for you, i would like to read more of them on week-end basis!
I have a feeling the release will not be "feature complete". but as long as the game runs smoothly for release it should be fine. DI and other stuff can be added and tested later, after all what good is a game if the server and client don't run smoothly and crash all the time. :)
Connected to a server tonight and played with people for the first time since the alpha release! I wasn't having much luck hitting anything with guns (other people were, I'm just rusty), so I picked up a flame thrower, and WOOOAH buddy is that thing awesome. I cooked a few fades, lots of drone, two dozen eggs, several of those god awful whips and even ninja knifed a hive down with a team mate. Good stuff, I definitely look forward to playing more in the coming weeks.
As far as the alpha being over, and the beta being released..
