<div class="IPBDescription">How to ensure a good game</div> How do you find out which players are good to team up with/communicate with, etc?

as i'm biased (see sig) i usually will gravitate towards older sounding, calmer, more mature ppl.

as alien, i'll also gravitate towards skulks with high kill ratios. that means at least they understand the mechanics of the game

in general, stay away from annoying/voice spamming players.

how do YOU guys find a good player to partner up with ?

Maybe people could have ranks, they could be programmed into wonids, more kills you get more it goes up. I know it isnt like cs, but more kills you get, more games youve played, more experience.

    Ranks could be:

    Newbie
    Getting Started
    Average
    Experienced
    Expert

Well, just and idea, or maybe there could be 1 star 2 stars and so on.

If im Command its pretty easy to watch a Marine's accuracy as all the bullet holes/Skulk blood show up on the CC screen. I usually trust people I see with a higher accuracy or those who are the ones taking the initiative and build an expansion base near the Kharaa all by themselves. These guys get the HA+HMG first and all the hard orders.

{OCCS} (tag that the CS department in my school has started, we all play under it so that we can find each other post Grad)
and I am serious any one with {OCCS} is gona be a good team mate

as for things NOT to use:

    1) clan tags in general (lots of stupid clanners, as well as lots of good ones)

    2) Personaly I don't trust kill/death (to many leet bastds still only concerened with kill/death), this is not to say that alot of them are good

    3) look at a gorges/commies build patterns, these realy help (there are some basic things that can tell you if they have some decent exp, like web placement, OCs right around corners etc)

as for who to pair up with?

well I generaly give orders/requests, those I see that are willing to workwith me I work with

    meh

Kill to death ratio doesnt really mean that much to tell if someones good on the aliens side. Ive played with some really good people and had lot higher kill to death ratio but i know they are better than i am.
