NS2 doesn't automatically update anymore...

So NS2 quit automatically updating through Steam at Build 137. I just noticed this cause I've been out of town.

I've searched around GetSatisfaction and the forums and can't find anything.

How do I fix this?

    best bet is probably to delete everything in the ns folder and redownload it

    in your steam client, right click the game in your library then click properties, under the update tab make sure it says "Always keep this game up to date".

    Build 137? That's not even an alpha patch (first alpha release was build 149). Is that the engine test? I don't think that was even on steam was it?

    I think they stopped updating the Patch Notes file that the Launch Pad uses when they started doing "official" Steam releases.
    I think it would be a good idea for them to put the Game version at the bottom of the main menu.

    I have it set to keep it up to date, I can't remember if it's the engine test or not

    Engine Test was not on steam.

    Launch Server.exe, that displays a version number when running.

    I seem to recall them making a Steam release with the last (or second last) Engine Test update. Maybe I was mistaken - but I thought when the Alpha was released over Steam it overwrote the Engine Test files.

    they released the engine test on steam.

    Check your CDkeys on steam for natural selection 2 and check if you have the Black Armor code in there, that permits you to download the alpha.
    If you don't have the black armor code, then you will just get the engine test.

    You should have gotten an email with a code to activate the Alpha on Steam which includes your black armor.

    Games > Activate a Product on Steam...

    Top menu on your Steam client window.

    If that doesn't work, then as others have said, uninstall your NS2 stuff right now, delete the folder and redownload.
