    According to the progress page in the past few days not too many changes have been made and twitter claims that more testing is being done to get us a patch and that frame rates (and attack responsiveness) have been improved. Given that not too many new things have been brought into the game the past few days it could mean more work is going into getting another patch going. Doesn't at all guarantee it though and I'm going to lean towards we almost have a patch but don't count on it today.

    The 'next release' bar being gone only means that they got sick of people complaining that the bar keeps moving down when they finish new stuff.

    I think that was an observation, not a complaint. I 'might' have been the person to bring that up. :Z

    But it was causing more trouble than it is worth, and I am sure it is tiring to see threads like this popping up weekly.

    Odds are they didn't finish the fixes that result in 100fps and they just want to get the unfinished-rough-alpha out to us that some people have been requesting.

    Which puts out the fires and gives them the opportunity to work on the next patch... release date next year maybe :P

    I doubt it'll be today, but not because of a lack of faith in UWE. I just think there will be showstoppers they'll come across and want to fix or tweak first.

    BUT I *do* think it will be very, very soon, and that makes me bubble with excitement. Can't wait for Steam to bring my internet to a crawl with the download!

    Check progress-page, they've added new features on Technical Tasks and also put out the infamous "Next Release (Build 152)".

    Not to be that kind of guy, but sometimes I wish they'd try to hold back a bit on the information in the tweets.

I'll tweet, I'll, Hey guys I'll TWEET that there could be a patch today. TODAY. And we'll see what happens on the forum.'

    Someone says 'Yeah do it! DOOO EEEET!' So he gets out his Crackberry and does it, and the forum explodes in speculation. UWE falls over themselves laughing, and then someone orders shots.

    Anyway, I hope that was how it went down! Given the times some of these tweets are made, I hope UWE isn't working till 1am each night. I'd rather they spend Friday night chilling than trying to meet the expectations of an insatiable community!

    I wouldn't worry too much about player whining. It shows they are still reading the forums on a daily basis, which in itself is a huge success.

    Post-patch, we'll all be ingame anyway :P
