Suggestion For Aliens Playing On Public Servers

<div class="IPBDescription">Don't click "Screw the Entire Team" key.</div> When you play on a public server, please give the rest of us a break and do NOT select the "Screw the Entire Team" option from your pop-up menu. If you have a key bound to the "screw your team" option, <i>do not press that key at any time while playing.</i>

I know the in-game help pops up a little bubble that says <b>"As an alien, you can completely screw your team out of any hope of victory. Try it now! Right click, move the mouse up and to the right, and release the mouse button!"</b> You should usually <i>ignore</i> this message.

When all the other players on your team are typing things like "everybody rush" and "nsplayer, please DON'T screw us," you should listen to their advice.

This goes for Marines too, really. Marines should never, ever select the "Ignore All Orders and Do Something Incredibly Stupid" button from their pop-up menu. Likewise, the marine commander should never build the "Stupid Crap" structure first. Or indeed, at all.

(That's my one post. Time for the forums to go down for another week.)

I think teams of five gorges make the best team.

One of the funnest things you can do in late late game, when you have 3 hives and are completely crushing the marines, is to have everyone evolve into Gorg's. Just stand outside their base and continually send babblers in there. With a team of 10 doing this, the whole marine spawn will be filled with babblers, each one exploding after a few seconds. The sound is hilarious.

5 gorges, all using healing spray on each other, are invincible.

There just needs to be a way to 'vote out' newbie gorges. A friend suggested a limit of how many gorges a team can have based on either total number or players, or number of hives, etc..., but I know there are situations where good players can pull off neat things with multiple gorges.

What I don't understand is why do all the newbies want to play gorge? I don't think playing gorge is all that boring, but it sure ain't as fun (or tasty) as eating marines left and right. Truthfully, I think the problem is that Gorge is the first affordable alien upgrade, newbies want to evolve and see what else they can turn into, so they go gorge. Wish I could vote them out...

Easy. It's the first evolution you can buy.

no the best team is made by the greatest player that knows the proper evolutionay route. He goes from skulk to gorge to lerk to skulk to gorge again, all without dying and of course making a sensory tower and building some offensive chambers on resource nodes. =/.

They even know what makes a good game for when asked to cease their actions reply with "Stop whining, have fun"
