PC Gamer Spot

I definitely say I am surprised to see a full preview in PC Gamer for NS2. Surprised and pretty thrilled at that. While it has no new info that anyone following the game has, they actually gave it a pretty beaming preview that's almost certain to bring in new players. They did say there won't be an alien commander (so I am curious as to when this was written up) but they also put the terror factor in (although they say it can be frustrating to get murder chomped all the time.) Anyways, just thought everyone should know we might have an influx of players, so best behaviors, and amazing spot there, UWE. I'm thoroughly impressed.

The link is old, however there is a 2-page preview in the November issue of PCGamer. The author didn't seem to do much research though before he wrote it.

Sorry, forgot to specify. It was in the most recent print magazine. The web one is fairly dated.

The PC Gamer one seems outdated too. But either way, at least there is one.

I think they meant GoldSource mod.

Thats not a screenshot, thats concept art. For some reason they didn't use any screenshots in the article.

Yeah, in the actual article they say that while other half-life mod developers have continued or been integrated into Valve, Unknown Worlds has gone a different route and goes on to tell the new engine and all that.

Glad to see NS2 getting exposure, but the person that wrote this seemed to mix up the feature lists for NS1 and NS2, called the Lerk a Lurk, and confused the NS1 engine with Source. No biggie.

However, how does adding resources and playable commander to a shooter "NEARLY" make NS a shooter/RTS hybrid. I mean, that flat-out makes it a shooter/RTS hydrid. Feel like the author sold NS a little short on that point.
