FireFall premiered at PAX this weekend and I think it looks pretty damn sweet.
Massive co-op game, free to play, cool looking world. I'm pretty excited for it.

    I watched that trailer and all I can think of is borderlands with more sci-fi.

    Kinda. Cept this is by the Tribes lead designer and a dev from WoW. I think it only <b>looks</b> kinda of like Borderlands and thats why everyone says that.
    Gameplay seems nothing like it.

    Yeah, the looks are what does that.

    The jetpacking almost feel like Global Agenda, but it isn't. This feels much more tight and snappy as a shooter than GA does.

    Looks like borderlands? Heck the enemies even look like the Borderland bugs. Not that this is a bad thing, Borderland looked pretty awesome!

    Lack of crosshair is... I dunno, doesn't seem to be missed...

    Game seems awesome as well...



    At least the NPC's have more lines, Borderland seemed very lacking in that department (except klaptrap), LOL at video btw. when they are fighting in town. The big bad white robot guys:

    ATTACK! ROAR! = LOL

    How do you plan to make money?

    We plan to offer a marketplace for Firefall that will offer players items to enhance their gaming experience. We are adamantly against selling anything that might compromise the skill-based aspect of the game.

    Oh, denied! :P Oh well, I'm already #1 in their Experience system for Refferals. :D
    Not like it really means anything. I think it's only used for the forums themselves.

    Anyway, it's Free-to-Play, the whole thing. Microtransactions for special gear and whatnot will be used.

    Is it only PvE? As slick as it looks, fighting NPCs can never replace people. If it is PvE-only, it looks like a polished Global Agenda (I know GA had PvP but the game was poo)

    I loved the concept for BL, the execution was just a little too sloppy. This looks fun!
