I was on the server [HT] condomnless brothels ns server a couple of weeks ago. IT just so happens that i had found a server that was right in canada. Which was kinda cool and had kept my ping below 100, which was pretty sweet. I had been playing on this server on a number of occasions. Then it happened. I was playing on NS_eclipse. Aliens had 3 hives. I was a fade. My name.

Sure...i got a few kills here and there.
It was near the end and i was @ marine spawn....i had just ran in and killed 4-5 guys blindly with swipe. I did this blindly.
So im like. ok cool ..
THEN SUDDENLY!!!! *GASP!!!

IM LIKE WTF. Now im just asking that i bee .... like...unbanned... cuz i would very much like to play on your server. Oh yeah...and i did change my name

    I would have banned anyone with the name "AIMBOT" in 2-3 seconds.

    The fact that you got a lot of kills in a short peroid of time too also backs the name up.

    I did type out a disclaimer once every while ... i think i said it like 3 times on the server

    this guy kicked me without a warning or nothing.     If you think somethign is wrong or you have been wrongly banned from that server goto <a href='http://www.hostilism.com/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=5' target='_blank'>here</a> and follow directions. There are plenty of servers in Canada. keep that in mind.

    Btw this is [MoO]blah? I've seen you play. We've played before. One warning tho.. be polite, be intelligent, and use common sence when posting on forum. Like I said before. There are plenty of servers in Canada and it is your privlage.. not your right to play on that server. -blah?

    Darkbolt: As it is our server we do have the right to ban or kick anyone as we see fit. If our admin didn't like your playing style, your name or the way you treated people on the server then he can and will ban you. As for getting your ban removed we have a Ban Removal forum that anyone who has been recently banned can go and post on, include your WONID and it will automatically be removed unless you really **obscenity** us off. Posting here will not get yourself unbanned so I suggest you visit our site, find the forums and post your WONID.

    Well one thing about Ht's server, if it's the same one we're talkin about, is it's strong commmunity. Alot of people are regulars from CS who switched over to NS because the server did and wanted to keep on playing with their friends. With all the abuse seen in CS concerning hacks and cheats, this is a place where it's not tolerated. Nor is any kind of racial slurs or abusive attitude towards other players. Be a team player and always be respectful to others. As the others said, post in the ban removal section following it's guide lines and be patient. I really don't know how frequently the admin checks it out but he always gets around to it. That is if this is the server you were talking about.

    There are several things I see in this thread:

    Darkbolt buddy, one thing you shouldn't do is screw with an admin, especially an admin who's been battle scarred from that epic cheater/anti-cheater conflict waged on the battlefield known as Counter-Strike Server Administration. Really, honestly, the way human nature is we know you chose the name "aimbot" in order to push some buttons/make people uneasy, you even put up a disclaimer because you knew it would make people twitchy. But you didn't think about the fact that this server switched from CS to NS which brought with it players who are still haunted with the nightmare of aimbots. Those combined psycological effects will bring with it the tendency to "shoot first, never mind the questions later" in regards to any possibility of a cheat.

    The HT guys really swooped in for defense, a little bit of PR/CR done there by NoClass...nicely done. Some other HT people came in all of them mentioning something about respect. Hmm, wonder if these guys recognize you from their server as being something less then polite?

    I own CB, and I'm also the one who banned you. Out of habbit I keep the server GUI open, to once and a while see whats going and and make sure things are running smoothly. I wasn't playing the game. And its not like I watch it 24/7. So I wouldent see any cough "name disclaimer" cough.

    All I seen was some guy with the name AIMBOT. So of course I'm gonna keep a closer eye on server for complaints or problems form someone with a name like that. I looked in 5-10 mins later and you had a score of 20-4 or something similar. That score when everyone else is 4-8 kills, in combination with a name like that is a instant ban in my books. But as was mentioned above. I generally will remove any ban placed, if asked in a resposible, mature way. If you don't cheat, then my applogys. But useing a name like that your asking for such hassels.

    I think it is wrong that this player was banned based on his name. Any admin with an ounce of class would confirm if a player was actually cheating before kicking or banning them. Banning someone based on their name, unless specified in the server rules, is just a lowly abuse of power.

    Like you said, it is your server and you can do whatever you please, but I think the world would be a better place if we had more admins that respect the people that play on their servers, and not let their personal feelings affect how that server is run. I've spent three years as an admin for a couple of Counter-Strike servers, and no matter how many times people upset me, or called me names, or told me I suck, I never once kicked them. I was not there to kick and ban players whenever I felt like it, I was there to ban players who were cheating, or to kick players who did not obey the specified rules.

    Also, there is no fade attack that could be aided by an aimbot, so that just makes you look silly right there.

    if you want your opinion to be read by the [Ht] server administrators, then you should post it on their forum, because they won't read it here. (The only reason they read this post is because ah870 informed them of darkbolt's complaint)

    And as far as your opinion on banning is concerned, I personally wish that more administrators would ban suspected cheaters and run a strict ship like Nickoli does, as it deters potential cheaters and ensures that honest players have the best game possible.

    Ideally, caught cheaters should have their wonid permanently disabled and would have to fork out the cash for a new cd-key in order to play the game again. Multiplayer games like Natural Selection, CS, etc. rely on a fair and balanced game and as we have seen time and time again, cheats destroy the experience for everyone.

    No offence to Darkbolt, but in my opinion, aimbot is an idiotic choice for any online multiplayer game, and responsible admins should immediately kick any person with a name that insinuates cheating, prejudice, or anything else that may be considered offensive.

    I agree with the admins that the name is what's bringing the attention on you. I disagree with banning without proof.

    This is what admin_llama is for. You should NEVER use a name that is offensive (especially is it isn't even creative), even more so if it would be offensive to an admin. Perhaps the ban is justified simply because you lack common sense, altough banning is a bit of a harse punishment. Like I said, that's what admin_llama is for.

    That's great that everyone has their own opinion on the matter but the server admin can do whatever he pleases when it comes to his server. Especially since in our IRC channel (#Hostile on irc.gamesnet.net if you wanna say hi <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' valign='absmiddle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->) we have to field the "please make room for me!" constantly as the server is full most of the time.

    Myself, I'm a more lenient admin and will let things slide but if someone was spamming a "disclaimer" as he put it that he isn't cheating but has the name Aimbot, I'd ban him just on being annoying alone.
