Hi Guys,
I know you are quiet busy with the patches but I was wondering if you have any ETA on releasing the linux server so more servers will come to life(and better ones :D )

Cheers.

Last update was its not coming until the beta version at least. Don't expect to see it at all for the length of the alpha

win32 servers are bad and linux is "better"?

I run all my servers on a win32 box and never have issues with compatability and i have used linux and i prefer win32 for the simple fact that 90% of sofware first availability is on that platform. it's all a matter of personal opinion and yes i do hope they get a linux server soon just so we can see a few more servers up and end to the countless topics about linux servers. All in all they all do the same thing, if you have good hardware then OS shouldn't make a bit of difference in performance.

    cheers to you to! :)

Heh, There's no difference between win32 and linux other than the fact it's not Microsoft :)

I'm guessing they will add a forum juts for servers as it was in NS1, but it's too early i suppose.

We definitely expect this to happen, but unfortunately we can't promise a date (or estimate) for now.

If you already have a linux server you don't want to wipe and put windows on, you can run the server with wine. It works.
