As a bit of fun, do you listen to music while playing NS and if so what pumps you up the most ?

I just thought a change from the usual posts it might be interesting to see what yall out there listen to when playing ns

Personally i normally start with a little DnB Like pendulum or State of Mind then go into some Nine Inch Nails and White Zombie.

Be interesting to see what peoples tastes range for to set the ambiance for some bug shooting marine chomping fragfest fun :D

    Verjnuarmu is good for a warmup, later on it's Five Finger Death Punch, Mindless Self Indulgence and Mortiis. My tastes are a little eclectic.

    When I first started NS way back when, Use Your Illusion II by Guns N' Roses was pretty much my standard soundtrack for playing. Nowadays I play without music. It's just too distracting for me. I'd prefer to hear the game sounds and voice chat.

    I only put on music when I'm not playing for keepsies (because sound is super important in NS1).

    And then I usually put on super awesome fast paced rock/metal/techno or similar to make everything seem more frantic :D

    only listen to music on combat
    ministry / LARD fits perfect for cata/sg frenzy. but somehow oldschool EBM fits better for alien play; its like a magic w'hop enchant.
    white zombie is worth a try, I'll do that next time I play.

    Some good stuff there :)
    Guess im one of the lucky few who has found that perfect balance point of my music so that when im in game my perception is mainly of that but when there is little happening i can only just catch it to add to the silence around me.

    love to play NS1 with music on :D

    If I'm listening to music, usually quiet (so I can still hear chat and sounds) MoS trance or similar, or Pendulum occasionally something a bit harder, Tidy Trax stuff / Hard Trance.

    Although I've also tried Beethoven's Piano Sonatas (but loud so you can actually hear the music)... that's an interesting experience and makes you play quite differently!
