<div class="IPBDescription">workaround for manual rebooting due to memory leak</div>Hi,

We have written a small tool to monitor the NS2 servers for memory useage due to the memoryleak being present. The tool checks the NS2 server proccess, and once it hits 1.5GB memory useage it will automaticly restart the proccess.

Very useful, thanks. I was using a scheduler to just close and re-open the server.exe every half-hour, but this will be much more effective.

This is a prime example why we need a Server Ops sub-forum. There are some messages that are critical to server operators that can get lost in the shuffle of the general discussion.

Anyone else noticed that the server will go into a stall around 1.3GB mem useage?

Yes, the server is still listed in the server browser.

I tried to connect it even still asks for a password...

But it will "Attempting Connection" forever.

You can also tell it stalled because it no longer prints anything in the Server.exe console and the RAM usage is as you said around 1.3GB+

Also you can usually tell by looking at the log file and seeing it hasn't printed any action for hours.
