Hanging at "Attempting Connection..." workaround

Hey all.
I was frustrated like many of you as I was sitting there with a black screen saying Attempting connection with no method of getting back to the main screen to try another server. I found a way around this by bringing up the console, typing 'disconnect' then 'connect *'. This produced in error in connecting and brought me back to the main menu.
Better than having to quit and start up NS2 again.
I'm sure you could just type 'connect <anything>' and it would produce the same result.
