Where are the servers with gracious and skilled players?

It's give or take really, but i find the 18 player servers to be the most balanced usually

to name a few.. it also seems to depend on the time of day you play.. i find games get better the later it gets.

Once you start getting older players on that usually equals more teamwok.

Look for servers with lots of people if you're gonna play marine. Odds are you'll run into a competant commander out of the 8-10 players on your team.
As for aliens, just explain to them it is most important that only experienced players who know how to build should be gorge. But yeah, it is both sad and annoying when half your team are fatties.

we try and run a llama free and clean server you could always give us a shot.. we are a 12 person server.

Alot of servers are like this but most of the time people are used to non cs teamplay kind of style thats why most publics are **obscenity** really private servers and people u play with who u know + clan matches are the only ones guaranteed worth playing unless they are totally **obscenity** up

i wouldn't say that, i have found plenty of public servers that have resptable players and fair admins. I play mostly on the Doom Brigade and Jigglypuff's NS Jigglyroom, i'm at school right now but i'll post the ip's when i get home

Since Reg mentioned the CoFR server, I thought I would add something.

Finding a good server is subjective. The CoFR server is run with the following standards.

1.) No profanity. Yes I have heard all the arguments. "You can bite people's heads off, but not swear? How stupid", etc. I could go into a lonf diatribe on how these are not related, but instead I will just ask that you respect the rules. This is how we like our servers, and just as if you went to a persons house and they asked you not to use profanity, you would either respect their wishes, leave or be kicked out.

2.) No racial remarks. This should not even need to be said, but for some reason it does.

3.) No cheating. Have not seen this to much, and hopefuly won't.

4.) No team stacking / side stacking. Please hit auto when you join. I know clans like to join the same team, but for everyones enjoyment please just hit random and let the server sort it out.

5.) No whining. "WTF" type statements are not enjoyable, but "Nice shot" is.

6.) We have 1 reserve slot, which is listed in the title. This is to allow people with reserve access to get on when they want. If the server is full it will kick the highest pinger. Players that follow the rules and are a joy to play with may get reserve slots. Please don't ask. We will let you know if you get a slot.

7.) We check the logs on a regular basis. This means that you may get away with something the rare times an admin is not on, but eventualy you will be caught.

If this is the type of server you want to play on, then please stop by to check it out. From what the players have been saying a lot of team work takes place on the server and the alien / marines winning the game is about 50 / 50.

something you havta remember is public is exactly that... public. its for new players to get to grips with the game, just because we know more than 2 gorges waste res etc dont mean they do.

thats why we join clans and scrim/war. dont make it like cs/tfc where so called noobs get bashed or the game will die.

That is one thing we try to watch out for also. In fact we may be doing another server for training.
