Additional Preorders and Steam 'Gifting'

A few months ago I pre-ordered NS2, and have registered my game on Steam, downloaded the engine test, etc. and now, for a variety of reasons (not the least of which is how much fun NS1 brought me during a tough time in my life), I'd like to further support Unknown Worlds by purchasing a second copy. If I want to "gift" this to someone, is this feasible via Steam yet, or should I just buy the way I did months ago via the Unknown Worlds website and email my friend the codes when I get em?
