Want Admin Opions. Phase Gate Strat.

I know this isn't directly "server running" related, But I wanted to get some opions from other admins. Not just the players.
Would you concider this strategy tobe legit, or a explotation of something that needs tobe fixxed for the balance of the game?
Basically it goes like this;
As cmnd, Build respawn, ammo disp. then motion tracting tower and a phase gate. Spot where hive is, Break first rush then send majority of marines to just otuside the hive, build another phase gate. Gate all players into hive and take it down.
This strat works extremly well. As marines start with enuff resource points to accomplish it easily. And since aliens start with no resource points they can't get any deff up, Nor can they quickly take down the phase gate before more marines spawn and gate to the hive.
Variations of this strat was try'd serveral times last night, and was basically impossible for the aliens to remove the gate. Now with alien rushes the marines can easily deffend the base. Due to the lmg being so effective against skulks. Especially in hallways, etc where aliens must do a straight rush(to get gate down)
But for aliens trying to deffend a single hive, with no deffenses and no resource points to build them. Not to mention with one hive, the time it takes to respawn. This strat allows the mariens to win within 5 mins of game start or less. With no real way for alines to deffend against it. Esp on larger maps, where the hives can be quite far away from aline base. And by the time inital alien rush gets therye they have most structures up.
Now, would you concider being allowed to make phase gates so early in the game, tobe an oversight? And something that needs tobe changed to fix game balance? Or Is this a legit strategy?
Seeing as the marines start with 99 resource points to allow them to quickly establish a deffendable base. While the aliens lack this. I think allowing them to gate at the start of a map, an embalance. Esp. since with 1.03, looseing your only hive is an instant game over. Give the strat a try. You might be surprised how effective it is, and how utterly futile it is for the aliens to try and take the gate down.

It is difficult to shut down the marine rush, but it can be done, the skulks have to stalk properly. And dont forget, the skulks cant "reverse phase rush" and take out most of the marines and jump into a phase gate and attack the base (most commanders put the phase right by the IPs, it is a very dumb thing to do.) And chomp on their base.
Most skulk rushes do not work any more, the avarage marine has wised up to this. Most skulk players seem to favor getting owned in the face then exercising a little patience and waiting for their prey to come to them. Again, this is not a balance issue, this is skulk players not having much skill issue.
We did it against like 5 [Ht] members, and totally creamed them. Then, kick&banned for exploiting the game. More like exploiting [Ht] ^_^.
The first one or two times you win a game with a skulk rush off the bat it's a wonderful, giddy feeling. After that you realize you'd rather be playing the game, and you aren't having any fun. I always tell my team not to destroy infantry portals until it's time to win for real.
A marine rush is the same way. Yay, we won. Are we having fun yet? I'd rather observe.

Assuming even teams, this means you will have 1 Marine more than skulks doing actual fighting. I don't know what servers you play on, but any decent group of Marines can easily take down the same sized group of skulks due to the 'hail of LMG fire" effect.
The best way for Aliens to counter the Marine rush is to wait for the Marines to show up and ambush them while they are building the phase gate. Repeat. However, this rarely happens on public servers because the skulks do not work together to ambush a group of Marines.
Halfassly organized teams of aliens beat organized teams of marines on a regular basis.
I start every game using this strategy, going straight for their hive to seige and/or destroy it.
This strategy defenetly isn't failproof, as the marines often can't get to a hive if the aliens do their job.
I think it is the marines best chance at victory on PUB server.
