To be honest, you're lucky to even be getting a refund.
Valve is sort of well known for not giving refunds for any reason.
Be patience and grateful they're going to refund

They're having to deal with an external provider in order to get your key de-activated and refund your money, it's bound to take a bit of time. They were kind enough to email you to let you know why it's been delayed. Was this post really needed? You just come across as an impaitent child that wants everything this second.

And just so you know, they've already said on multiple occasions they have far more done than they show us, because it takes away from development time to do each reveal etc.

I'm more than happy with what they've given us so far, been having a blast with the map editor.

They write back the next day confirming that your refund is on the way and you ###### about it here? If your looking for sympathy, your not going to find it.

I respect your opinion but here´s mine:

If you dont want wait for the game to be ready, or even believe that the game will be released soon, you should not have pre-order.

Pre-order means that you are buying an initial idea that will reflect in a product later and in this case, the idea of developers is taking more time that the expected, but to me this is very natural since along with the NS2, the developers will give us the tools that they develop to create this amazing game!
Think how that is important to game mod´ers / mappers, eg. did you ever see battlefiled series or even call of duty series gives you some tool to enrich game experience?

by the way, your just wrong in what you wrote. just because they didn't release screenshots of the stuff you want, it does not mean they are not in the game.

They already said that the fade is done AND animated, just not revealed. that is normal. Same for the commanderview.

I think you may have misunderstood. Comprox isn't offering an excuse for the development time for the game, he's just letting you know that refunds take a little longer to process now due to Steam integration.

Sorry you weren't satisfied with your pre-order.

Thx,after thinking about it a bit more you might be right. That e-mail was poorly worded.
Not everyone has english as their first language, that goes to that muppet getting worked up over that "your" too.

However this is an English speaking forum. Your & and you're are frequently miss-used and Renegade is simply on a crusade to see it rightly used. He's a grammer-crusader.

And here I thought I was being nice trying to let the person know what the delay was for (usually we processed returns the same day I got the email). We are looking into it guys, but we may not be accepting any more returns in the future due to the switch to steam (out of our hands sadly). I am planning on having this return solved (with at least you money returned) when I get home tonight. Any return requests I am already dealing with I have contacted about the delay, but they *will* get their money back.

Any from this time forward, I honestly can't say what will be done. For now though, don't expect future refunds to be allowed though. This may also apply to any requests to upgrade from the standard edition to the special edition by just paying the difference. I know it sucks, sorry :(

QFT. Plus, I can almost feel the Alpha is upon us. He's going to look pretty foolish when we get to play in the next few weeks and all he has is $20-40 back in his account.

EDIT: Also, this guy joined just to complain about a miscommunication in an e-mail? I mean, I know there will be lurkers but why pre-order if you can't be arsed to create a forum account?
  • JAmazonJAmazon Join Date: 2009-02-21 Member: 66503Members
Funny thing is you know that he's just gonna re-buy it when it actually comes out, so UWE hasn't really lost any money :P

The sad thing is that no one can stop those "refund sissies" from buying a game after it is released ... this somehow bugs me.

wow, what a narrow minded view, so to play a game you have to be registered at a forum?
Besides, i was playing NS for a long time and just never got around registering to the forums, and let´s not forget the whole thing that was going on
with the website when it was offline for over a year.

so, you really think the alpha is near? looks more like another 3-4 month atleast.

anyway, was just an misunderstanding, thread can be closed.
