Um... is it Fall 2010 yet? Did they even say that it would be released for sure this fall? I know the official trailer says Fall 2009, and if you just Pre-Ordered (Do you really think they would still have Pre-Orders up if the game was released?), you must have been living under a rock. The Fall 2009 release date was pushed back. I guess Unknown Worlds really need to change that trailer, and put a big huge sign on every page stating this fact.

Chill bro, small dev team means it is extremely difficult to build an entire game. You probably payed $20 dollars, judging by the fact that you joined the forums only 2 months ago and only have 1 post. Don't be so selfish, your twenty dollars is going to an independent game development company that have starving employees that need food. Your support means the world to them they are in a time of need right now. They are currently in development on the best fps shooter of all time. Do not think hastily when asking for your money back, because Flayra will send his Onos army to devour you.
But on a serious note, I can not wait for this game. It is going to be epic, and I love playing around with the tools while I wait. I don't see how anyone can be disappointed. So please rethink all your anger at this small team that is creating a great looking game.

It doesn't surprise me some people feel like they were mislead. If this were EA I doubt there would be many people sympathetic that the devs sold a preorder promising a release date that they had to have known was ridiculously optimistic. Preorders are not usually used to fund most of the development... they just get companies the money a little bit sooner.
That said, the way I feel is that I got an awesome game with Natural Selection, which I never paid for. So even if NS2 never comes out I feel like the dev team is deserving of the money I paid. If it also helps them produce an awesome sequel then that is just gravy.

But this isn't EA and that's good.
Personaly i see UWE and NS2 as the perfect example of why PC gaming is awesome and PC gaming communities are real communities.
Here we have a full community supporting a small indie team not just with money but also PR and feedback. All for free all and for the sake of building a great game.
It's in so many ways the perfect opposite of what the gaming industry has become the last few years, a huge faceless industry that doesn't care about it's customers but just about it's profit margin and shareholders.
Without doubt i would buy just another special edition if UWE needed the money and i have no problem waiting as long as it takes (as long as it feels like they are making progress). So those people complaining about "wheree itz may gamez?!" really don't get the point of all of this...
Couldn't agree more. I actually see in the distant future, PC gaming becoming almost exclusively indie. The big companies have realized that console development is both easier, less piracy, and more lucrative. They have absolutely no reason anymore to develop the games for PC or even remotely care about what PC gamers want.

Gnihihihihi...
Wait a minute you spelled waste right in the thread title. I suspect shenanigans.

Time will tell. Viva la indie!
