    First, Good job on the Steam release :)
    Second, Thanks for this fix but I don't know if it will change anything.
    Thind, I can now launch a map in medium but half the map is missing :(
    Fourth, Awful setting is now bugged for me and it wasn't before.

    This release has good and bad points ^.^

    I tried your maps and the backups but I didn't notice any performance difference. What is it exactly that you changed?

    From 3 FPS to 40 on the walkway just above DM1 spawn, that is almost not terrible and a massive improvement. What did you do?

    You might not have been having the issue that some of us have been having.

    I discovered that the huge FPS drop was being cause when you walked into the shadow render range of an Omni-Directional Light, hence the lag coming and going when you stepped forwards and backwards when you found a render problem.
    I seeked out and turned shadows off for Omni Lights in bothe DM levels. DM1 was more laggy because it had way more of these than DM2 did.

    I installed this just for the hell of it.

    This completely fixed any performance issues i had. 5FPS up to 100FPS.

    5-15 FPS and now 25-40 fps ( with hd 4870 )

    better :)
