Working Server Browser
The <a href="http://github.com/Nayruden/ns2lua/" target="_blank">git repository</a> now has a working server browser. The online version can be seen on <a href="http://serverlist.devicenull.org/" target="_blank">devicenull's site</a>.

Er, I don't see how our code would help them at all. They aren't going to be implementing this any way even remotely like we did.
Its definitely the next Half-Life for modders. I cant wait for the next Counter-Strike.
I only did the PHP, klusark did all the ingame work.
<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->Error: Server.lua line 73 (something with the tostring)
Error: Table.lua line 307: attempt to index global 'Shared' (a nil value)<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
That Table error is nonfatal, and won't actually break anything. What's the exact text of the Server error?
last--> client #
in order to get how many people are currently on server?
example
client 0 connected
client 1 connected
client 2 connected
disconnected 1.1.1.1
disconnected 0.0.0.0
client 1 connected <-- this being last client connection
what is printed in console
might not be accurate but i think it would better than showing 0 players in server
I see the one server in game but cannot connect, when loading my own server it does not show up on the list after 4 min online... might need some more work but nice start.
I'm stuck too, but only with the Table error...
Joining the IP by hand doesn't do anything, with both WAN and Hamachi IP :/
And yes, the original browser was working, since I managed to see one of my own servers, some days ago ;)

You need port 27016 open in your firewall as well as 27015.
there's a <strike>app</strike> Mod for that! (lol iphone commercial)
I doubt they are going to get annoyed. it seems that they like all the stuff people are doing.
They are from the game. Probably possible to override them, but I'll wait until the official browser actually works before trying.
I had it only once, then after the reboot or something (for some minutes boths servers were down on your website) I was able to join a game and play
But now it's not connecting anymore
I've noticed something else: my internet seems slower when I'm attempting to join firefox pages take tinme to load (I have 8000 Kbps download speed so I presume that NS2 is making it slower)
[edit] I've been able to join the server S HITE2 when it was online
PS: By the way for forums admins I've been able to edit back my post after the "you don't have permission to edit that post" because of the bad word

If you try to join a server that is down, NS2 will essentially attempt to DoS the other person with connect packets. It's crashed hamachi and logged my PC before.
There is a nice post by Max on how to load a mod from a remote directory so you can keep your NS2 folder vanilla.
Look at this. Some general forum post and these badasses take time to read it and give us an update on their progress.
I'm so glad I gave them money.
Always keep an open door for your community and MOdders and everything will be fine^^(i hate companys where Gametypemods are handled like super LEET hacks as if they were bad).
Like them much more, day by day. Keep on working on that nice game.

Sadly it is the game, and I agree please list my ping, not some silly graph. That rates up there with chrome getting ride of the http:// and https:// from URL's
