Can't seem to get it to run

I installed it, I can launch it... play with the nice lobby. But when I go to create game, it pops up a crash handler that asks to submit info about the crash. I of course do, but how do I get it running.
Using windows XP on a new deskptop.
I tried reducing the graphics to medium like I saw in one post, but that didn't help.
Any other ideas? or links to more ideas?
thanks

I am trying to run create game. As that is the only way I can see to get in to something.
I crashes after "attempting connection"
So maybe something with windows firewall?
This the top of the log file...
Build 140
RenderDevice: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT (6.14.11.7824)
Starting server
PhysX: cannot allocate CUDA device memory!!
Loading 'maps/ns2_dm1.level'
Direct3DDevice::Texture create/initialize failed [dds].
IDirect3DDevice9::CreateTexture(1024, 1024, 0, D3DFMT_A8R8G8B8) failed (Out of video memory)
Direct3DDevice::Texture initialize failed- A8R8G8B8, xSize=1024, ySize=1024)
Invalid format for resource "models/props/refinery/refinery_skytowers2_n.dds"
Direct3DDevice::Texture create/initialize failed [dds].

Looks like physX could be the cause you can try to diable it or install a driver without it
as for the drivers for physx(sp)... not sure how to do that either... But I do know electronics and computers in general pretty well, so any links that explain it I can follow pretty easy...
