well, the marine model is 72 units tall, which is exactly 6 feet if 1 unit = 1 inch

Spark: 1 unit is 1 inch.

Hammer: 1 unit is 0.75 inches.

What are the units for the RT spacing from each wall?

How do skulks know when to run on a wall? Do they need to jump on it? If I were to create a wedge at the base of a wall, could a skulk go from floor to wall by running up the wedge?

[EDIT]: <strike>Also, can the engine handle a side-passage running beneath a room? There's a low-set room I want to build with pipes leading off from it, but I need to know whether or not the pipes are allowed to run beneath other rooms. These pipes will be big enough to have aliens and crouched marines running around in them.</strike> It sounds like the engine will just display what's on top. I never imagined this as being an area of particular interest to the Marine commander.

Skulks stick to any surface they are sufficiently close to, and can move up/down/sideways/etc just by looking in the right direction and pressing W (or whatever your +forward key is).

You could have found that out from playing ns1... which only costs 10$ to buy HL1

10 dollars on steam to get yourself old school half-life. And it's worth the 10 dollars just for the creative investment related to research and functionality for your map.

But I just got the information for free!

Anyways, I should be getting my hands on the editor this Thursday. I'll definitely try to post some screenshots later that day.

The official mapping guidelines are included with the Spark SDK (update coming today with the pre-alpha).
