okay so i have to use crossover games to run natural selection and yeah it kind of sucks but its ok and i heard that the half life series was being ported for steam along with source games and left 4 dead 2 which are the only games i play. I thought hmm half life coming to mac so natural selection is a third party mod for half life so would i be able to install and run natural selection on my mac natively?

It's weird... I don't even have a mac, but I'm psyched for all this stuff to happen (next month, i think?). I just feel like Valve has the right idea about games as a service. This is such a simple step to getting their games available to tons more people, and it's a great step toward improving an already pretty fantastic service.
From Tf2 Blog.
So far no ns1 on macs. ( I guess its just not worth porting it for them ?)

I thought they said they were porting there Half Life series over? I really want them to port Half Life over, but even if they did, would Natural Selection work on macs?
And so far its only talk of SOURCE-engine.
The Half-Life series is likely to include Half-Life. This could refer to GoldSrc HL or HL:S but there is no Source port of HL:OF or HL:BS, still they appear to be considered a part of the HL series. It also says CS, not CS:S. If they bothered specifying that it was the 2nd L4D game they were talking about, why did not not also say it was CS:S and not CS?
It's also worth mentioning that GoldSrc got OpenGL support already.
But anyway, it's probably just Source. All things considered I would be surprised if they bothered porting GoldSrc.
