Requires Firefox and Stylish-plugin
Hi guys, I had a flash-course and I got bored, so I started working on a custom theme for these forums and thought I'd share.
I've always liked the colour-theme and general feel of the NS1 forums and hopefully some of you feel the same.
I made the effort to mash in some of Cory's awesome conceptart as well to improve on the old background.
There's a few problems here and there (the "Attachments" that's underneath the area you write your post in shows the background) but it's pretty minor I think. If there's anything major send a reply here stating the problem.

Requires Stylish-plugin or Greasemonkey for Firefox

In fact, the userstyles.org site shows you how to install user styles on all major browsers. It doesn't even require the stylish add-on if you're using Firefox. You can use Greasemonkey as well.

So there are other ways to use it on other browsers, didn't know that myself so I'm quoting his comment here.
Enjoy!

Maybe, I don't think it's necessary though. Could give it a try when I have some more spare time over I guess.

Nice to hear!
The general colour-codes and all that jazz comes from the NS1 forums, which is fine since that's what I wanted (with a couple of improvements of course).
Also, if my time allows I'll probably edit some more elements on the site to suit the theme more as well, the forum-buttons being an example that could be Kharaa-fied.
Yes to red. Why red? The fade, and all aliens and structures, are mostly not red (unless there's some emergency lighting nearby). (Not to get off topic but the MSDN website had a heavy Red theme going that sort of made it painful on the eyes, and now they got this VS2010 blue / (gradient purple to light blue) theme which is definitely better). I think applying those dark colors here would of improved the result. Actually instead of covering everything with a red semi-transparent overlay, to instead make the alien stuff in front of the background (like the marine top center of this webpage) would of helped.

But I guess the infestation would be the sole theme for the alien team...

Ah, cool, didn't know that. It sure does make things easier though using the addon but I'll add your reply in the OP.

It's their own official colour-scheme from the NS1 theme (note: it was easier to use their hex-numbers for the colors ^^), but we'll see if I'll do something green in the future.
Good job.
