I've been watching this game pretty closely for the last year, still haven't preordered. I'm wondering what your first thoughts are on it. I think the whole idea of releasing the game as a browser game in small chunks is a complete waste of the company's time and resources, and it really doesn't show me how great of a game it really is.

What I think IM is going for is a vast first person universe where you are able to fly to individual planets from individual space stations and take part in major battles from different sides as well as against aliens. But then again I may be wrong because they don't fully explain what this game is going to offer.

If you don't know what Intersteller Marines is you can check it out right here:

But I would highly recommend not to preorder it until some more hardcore features are released for the game... as well NS2 should be coming out soon :) so why waste the money.

they are not releasing the game in small chunks as browsergames..its their way to reveal stuff, like uwe does with videos, and its even less work for them than for uwe because they are more peoples and its a native functionality of the unity engine. you cant even compare their way of developing with uwes, they are like a PRO game developer who stripped away the puplisher, going indie... i think they call that AAA indie
