    Here's my take on it:

    You can't really put it in a gun but one can't have everything ^^

    This one barely uses any normal mapping. In fact, it doesn't need it as it's only used to try to emphasize the separate pages (which it fails to do XD).

    I didn't bother to make the whole texture as IIRC you wanted to do that yourself.

    So, that good enough? :)

    Don't worry, at first I also thought he meant a weapon magazine :) Although I wasn't sure how I'd model a universal mag that could fit into any gun and be open. But I did think he meant that.

    Yes that's very good! Send ASAP!

    Just make sure that when you send it that I can just put it in my models folder for NS2 and it'll show up in the editor. I don't have modeling programs to convert it myself :x

    Edit: Here are a couple other things I'd like to request

    Empty Magazine/Game rack (so I can put a variety of stuff on it)
    A closed magazine (like a book, not a gun :P)
    and a game box

    Again, these do not have to be textured. Just make the model so that it can easily be added to the NS2 editor and send the UV maps my way.

    Well in that the case you gotta wait for some kind soul that will be willing to convert it. NS2 hate's XSI's collada files.

    Anyone willing to convert this to NS2?

    Oh and the closed version of the magazine is already done. I just didn't bother to show it because it's just a textured box :)

    I certainly hope someone can do this! I really do not want this to go to waste.

    @Kouji: That would be a great idea! I'll probably do quite a bit of texturing with these magazine models.

    Well first let's get the model so we can texture it then decide what we want to put on it :P

    sorry about the lack of updates someone at polycount released one of there models for people to practice texturing so im trying my hand at hand painted textures, not bad for my first try so far. will resume the scissor lift when im done.

    Dandi I was looking at your model in a model view and tried importing the texture, but the texture becomes all messed up.

    It becomes all stretched and skewed.

    Yeah, I can see that, just checked it out.

    I did this quickly late yesterday night. I tried using spec map and gloss map but no success in it.

    Actually just delete the spec map and remove the specular code line in the .material file (magazine_open.material)

    That will correct the thing. Cause now it only have a black spec and a white gloss map. Which isn't good lol

    I can't get the texture to work .__.

    Edit: wait, forgot to try something

    Edit: Yeah I can't get the texture to show up. It only shows up as the missing texture thing.

    Edit: Ok I figured it out. The .material file goes in the models folder.

    So here is what I have at the moment. I didnt want it to look exactly like an IBM for legal reasons heh. This will be the ingame version. All UVs done. ~2000tri. Ill be doing the high poly version for the normal map.

    It might be a few days since I am playing with new XSI tools and 3D painting stuff.

    could you post the wires on that server/whatever it is. i think you could cut down the tri count quite a bit.
